Proof I Can’t Talk Animals In To Behaving

OOOOF Sunday November 5th, 2023 marks the second occasion that Sally has made me question absolutely everything. I have worked with the horse since conception. One would think she would be the most well behaved horse on the planet given the amount of time I have put in and the fact that I can hear animals. Well that assumption would be incorrect.

This 5 year old horse is proof that I can’t talk my own, or any of your animals into being perfect furry citizens. I have loaded this horse in and out of trailers often. I have taken her to a few new places but never by herself. This is a giant hole in her training that I now have to fill. This is not a communication issue, this is a training issue, one in which I am now solely responsible to fill. She knows to get on the trailer, she hauls nicely, and enjoys her hay. The part she hates is being alone in the trailer and she gets scared in new places. There is only one way through this, and that is me getting embarrassed here and there and to just keep trying. The rest of the stuff is easy for me, and believe me if I could have spoken sweet nothings into her ear yesterday and had results I wouldn’t have had to feel that pit in my stomach wondering how long, and what it was going to take to get her in the trailer.

I get calls often asking me to help owners talk to their animal and achieve a behavior modification. The animals for the most part are not the problem in as much as they need to be taught. I can beg a cat to stop urinating where it is not supposed to and make sure the energetic side of the cat is doing well. However, if I find out that a household has five cats and only one cat box, I am going to recommend we do an energy session on the cats, communication to find out who gets along and what the needs of each cat are, and also have the owner buy five or six more cat boxes. I will also tell the owner to keep an eye on the cat to help train the cat as to where the appropriate potty area is.

I love helping each and every one of my customers with stuff like this and I will do everything I can on my side. My story is proof that it takes everything we have to help these animals have an amazing life. The energy work and communication does amazing stuff, but it has to be joined with training by the guardian of the pet to have success.
